DESCRIPTION:COURSE CONTENTThis course is designed for applicants to obtain 
 the required skills to erect and disassemble basic scaffolding configurati
 ons to meet the requirements of SafeWork NSW for a basic scaffolding licen
 ce.Once applicants have completed this course they will be able to communi
 cate and work safely with others in the work area\, planning out their own
  work\, select and inspect equipment\, setting up for the task\, erect\, a
 lter and dismantling of modular and manufactured scaffolds\, erection of c
 antilevered materials hoists with a maximum working load limit of 500 kilo
 grams\, use of ropes and gin wheels\, installation of safety nets\, use of
  static lines\, erection of bracket scaffolds (tank and formwork).Although
  a person with a basic level scaffolding is not allowed to erect tube and 
 coupler or more advanced scaffolds (hung and suspended)\, they are allowed
  to use tube and coupler components for: - Ties\, - Tying scaffolding toge
 ther at corners. - Handrails. - Security of toeboards or kickboards. - Ins
 tallation and security of gin wheels.PREREQUISITESAbility to understand an
 d write English.18 years of ageParticipants must provide their own Persona
 l Protective Equipment (PPE) including safety boots\, hard hat and a high 
 visibility vest.Participants will need enough strength to lift up to 20kg 
 infrequency from the ground to overhead and access heights above 2 metersP
 articipants must wear correct safety clothing which includes: trousers\, l
 ong sleeved shirt\, safety boots\, gloves\, glasses\, and helmet.DURATION
