Australian Construction Training is a family company,
like its sister company - Botany Cranes. The family have built their
lives around the construction industry and therefore understand the
unique needs of the industry.
We are committed to provide a friendly and flexible
environment to promote maximum learning.
John Medland -
Director
John is a veteran of the construction industry. In
addition to his role with Act, John is a Director of Botany Access and
Managing Director of Botany Cranes and Forklift Services. Before taking
over at Botany Cranes, John spent five years as a Lab Technician/NATA Signatory
with Boral Asphalt and following the attainment of his engineering qualifications,
spent a further four years at Boral as a Supervisor of road construction
crews.
Elizabeth Medland - Director
Elizabeth is a Senior Associate in a well respected law firm. Through her work in litigation, Elizabeth is well versed in the importance
of professional and systematic training in the construction industry,
having seen first hand the disastrous consequences of a lack of workforce
training played out in the court system.
Ann Bradstreet - Quality of
Life Manager
Ann is also a Director of Botany Cranes, and is charged
with the responsibility that all trainees, visitors and employees have
a good "quality of life" while on the premises.
Michael Weeding - Trainer / WorkCover Accredited Assessor
Michael has worked for Botany Cranes and Forklift Services for over twenty years. He is a Class 1 Rigger with a background as a boilermaker. His experience is complemented by a deep knowledge and respect for OH&S legislation.
Larry Farmer - Trainer / WorkCover Accredited Assessor
Larry has been involved in the construction and demolition industries for over thirty years. He has owned and managed his own business and brings his experiences of the use of a wide range of plant and machinery to his instruction of trainees.

We are located on site with Botany Cranes & Forklift
Services and Botany Access, which gives us the benefit of exceptional
facilities.
All practical aspects of training are conducted on
a modern fleet of cranes, forklifts and elevated work platforms.
All theory components of training are undertaken in
a fully equipped and modern training room, making full use of technology
through powerpoint and dvd presentations.
