INTERMEDIATE
RIGGING (RI) COURSE CONTENT The Intermediate Rigging
course is designed to provide participants with the fundamentals and equip them with the
knowledge to obtain their National Certificates of Competency Class RI. The Intermediate Rigging Certificate allows you to
perform rigging work related to: Rigging of cranes, dredges and excavators Dual crane lifts Tilt-Slab Erection At ACT we are committed to provide comprehensive
training that produces superior skills to lead to a more productive and safer
workplace. Some aspects of the course include: 1. Conduct routine checks 2. Plan work 3. Check controls 4. Plan assembly of lattice boom sections 5. Communicate clearly, directing crane 6. Carry out assembly of lattice boom sections 7. Demonstrate correct use of appropriate tools
required 8. Dismantle lattice boom sections PREREQUISITES A
valid RB, Basic Rigging, Certificate of Competency Ability
to understand and write English Good Mathematics and Physics ability Ability to read and interpret
drawings and specifications 18 Years of Age Participants must supply their own Personal
Protective Equipment including safety boots, Hi-Vis garment and a hard hat. A pen, calculator and workbook are also required for
note taking and problem solving. STANDARD Assessment
to National Occupational Health and Safety Certification Standard for Users
and Operators of Industrial Equipment [NOHSC: 1006 (2001)] DURATION To Be
